Huaixi

The Huaixi project is located in the Zhejiang province of southeastern China, approximately 60 kilometres southwest of Wenzhou City and 40 kilometres inland from the Pacific Ocean.  The project area is centered on Huaixi Village in western Pingyang County, which has been subject to small scale mining activity for pyrite, copper and gold since as early at 1956.

Zhejiang Province is a major trade and manufacturing center with ample infrastructure to support exploration and mining operations.  Leather tanning and processing is a major industry in the area and takes place both on a commercial and local level.  A hub for international commerce due to its port, the Huaixi project area is easily accessed from Wenzhou city via well maintained freeways and country roads.

Huaixi

The Huaixi project is an early stage copper porphyry prospect located in southeast China.  The property consists of three contiguous exploration licences, totalling approximately 61 square kilometres and includes a 20 square kilometre zone of advanced argillic alteration hosting peripheral, small scale, past producing copper and pyrite mines.

Entrée’s exploration to date has been successful in outlining a 7 kilometre long northwest-trending structural corridor with a strong, multi-element porphyry signature.  This was done primarily through extensive soil and stream sediment sampling in 2008 and followed up with magnetic and IP geophysical surveys in 2009. A six hole, 2,660 metre drill program was recently completed.
